Tay Home is a one of a kind tea shop and design store located in the historic hamlet of Andes in Delaware County, New York. Once you step inside this gently restored 1840's Greek Revival two-story building, you're instantly transported to another world - one that is inviting, magical and full of visual enticements everywhere you look...

On the main floor of Tay Home, you will find the popular twelve foot TEA BAR, which serves Nini's distinctive tea blends daily (both hot and iced), as well as organic, vegetarian sandwiches, salads and tea-infused desserts. As you walk around on the first floor you will find a myriad of items that will enchant you: tabletop, gifts from the garden, a well-stocked tearoom with teaware and accessories all geared to brew loose leaf teas, as well as local artisan's designs such as beeswax candles, handmade jewelry and handcrafted leather accessories. The color coordinated merchandise is artfully displayed, no surprise here, as the owner Nini Ordoubadi is a seasoned interior decorator and stylist.

Visitors are invited to explore the second floor, where they will find the Silk Road Room and the White Room. Furniture both antique and modern blended seamlessly in addition to accents for the home, pillows, throws, carpets and one of a kind artifacts. Here Nini has created two distinctively different environments to give expression to her two loves in style: vivid, tribal color and pattern (as expressed in the Silk Road Room) and serene, peaceful zen (the White Room). “Dichotomy in design is what interests me,” she says, “The yin and yang. Like blending a tea, bringing different elements together - to create harmony in a room or creating a well-balanced and delicious tea blend.”

This year we're celebrating seven years of being open in Andes and now with the introduction of Nini's debut fashion line NINI O. Tay Tea Bar continues to offer a fresh, seasonal lunch menu along with tea-infused desserts. This year our focus is buying our vegetables and produce from local, organic micro farms and many surrounding farmer's markets. We believe you can taste the difference!

We offer vegetarian dishes as well as innovative and delicious vegan ones too. Recently we've added a few gluten-free items to the list of salads and side dishes. There is something to please every discerning palate and more...

The ever popular Nini Panini, our delicious grilled cheese sandwich made with local, organic bread from Bread Fellows, and seasonal grilled vegetables is now available as a vegan panini with refried beans and veggies.

Tay Tea and local cheese maker Harpersfield Cheese have collaborated on making tea infused tilsit cheese that we are now serving and selling exclusively at our Tea Bar! We currently have 3 tea cheeses: Marry Me Again, Berber and A Day In Provence. Once you try these you'll never go back to plain ol' cheese.

Our organic dessert menu features seasonal fruit pies, cookies, cakes and brownies all infused with Tay Tea blends! This year we've added gourmet fair trade organic coffee too and serve it hot, cold and bedouin style (infused with green cardamom and cane sugar).

THE NINI O. COLLECTION

Come view the Nini O. Collection, Nini's debut line of clothes is inspired by the vibrant colors, textures and bold patterns of nomadic tribes from around the globe.

There are 16 designs: long skirts, wrap tops, dresses and decorative aprons. The clothes, all hand-sewn in the Catskills, are meant to be worn interchangeably in layers. Most of the sizing is one size fits all. The look is fluid, easy and eye-catching.

The Nini O. Collection uses only natural dye and eco conscious fabrics: bamboo, organic cotton, raw silk, flax linen, wool and cashmere, as well as vintage and antique finds to embellish our decorative aprons.

The style can be defined as “Urban Nomad Meets Gypset!” Perfect for the bon vivant woman who lives, works and travels around the globe and is at home everywhere she goes.
